Impact, actions & engagements remarquables | Mr. Chodak Gyatso, who founded AMDO Food company was a Tibetan refugee who moved to India few years ago. He had the skill of making excellent dried Tibetan noodles and decided to make it his profession. Little did he know that this local ethnic product which was being sold locally in India shall also invite the attention of insternational buyers and cusomers. AMDO Food company got associated with Fair Trade Original Netherlands in 2001. Mr. Chodak always carried a deep concern for people and environment. His association with FTO took reinforced this committment and since then entire approach is towards quality production in environmentally sound manner and support to the wage workers and supplier farmers in best possible ways. Through this association AMDO Food aquired various certifications viz. organic and HACCP. With the same conviction the new generation members are committed to ethically production and trade of noodles. Organisation is ever committed towards creating opportunities for economically marginalised producers and workers. However this will be further possible if there is a steady growth in the business and diversification of products is possible. | |||||||
