| Impact, actions & engagements remarquables | | | Biofresh is a private limited company registered in Uganda, started export of organic fruits and vegetables in 2004 and fair for life in 2007. The following activities have been implemented by the project; distribution of planting materials to different farmer groups, facilitation of farmer trainings and group meetings, provision of clean energy e.g solar kits for lighting, supply of tanks for harvesting rainwater and 4 boreholes were also drilled in communities where we operate (2008), provision of direct and indirect employment to communities around, etc. Summary of beneficiaries are Biofresh registered farmers, Biofresh staff/employees, community around ICS coordination office, vulnerable children and orphans (OVCs). Biofresh vision is to improve the livelihood of small-scale farmers through fair trade. | ||||
