| Impact, actions & engagements remarquables | | | Biorgânica was founded in 2007, located in the southwest of Paraná, Realeza. Has born with the mission of strengthening organic and family farming, connecting the different actors on supply chain, sustainably and fairly. Works in partnership with farmers, has a wide range of products and acts in the development of important crops for farms’ region, such as cassava, beans and corn, stimulating the diversification of the areas and collaborating with alternative income sources to the producers. The company has been acting to strengthen and supporting local farmers, providing assistance, promoting direct actions, bringing technology and improving farmers’ living conditions linked to the project. Offers specialized technical assistance to the partners. Facilitates the acquisition of allowed inputs for organic farming. Encourages and organizes events with the purpose of interaction and information exchange. Organizes properties and guide the partners for certifications. Collaborates for a better management of the properties through training and educational programs. Through the fair trade fund, it was possible to assist the creation of the AFAPO (Associação de Fomento à Produção Orgânica), the renovation of the association's headquarters and in the acquisition and maintenance of equipment used by members to facilitate their work in the field. | ||||
