![]() | Impact, special achievements & commitments | ![]() | ![]() | Salt Spring Coffee started in 1996 as a roasting cafe dedicated to organic and fair trade values. Today they continue to push the envelope in producing quality organic and fair trade coffee while keeping core company values and sustainability principles as a driving force. Salt Spring Coffee roasts more than 1 million pounds of coffee per year and supplies over 1,200 locations including grocery retail outlets, cafes, restaurants, office coffee partners and their two cafes. In 1998 Salt Spring Coffee became one of the first fair trade certified companies, switching to FFL in 2012 because of their depth and concern for local workers, labour practices and sustainable products. Salt Spring Coffee maintains long term relationships with coffee producers, including regular visits and provision of business support and sponsorship. | ||||
