Impact, special achievements & commitmentsNateva is located in the heart of the Vercors National Park and Biovallee. This privileged geographical location allows to produce and gather high quality and local aromatic and medicinal herbs.
The company is certified organic (for food and cosmetic products) by Ecocert.
Nateva works with a network of producers and wild pickers on a local, national but also international level.
Since its creation in 2005, the company has made its place in the professional market through the development of herbal aromatic, medicinal and organic plant transformation, by developping the following activities :
- Sales of aromatic and medicinal herbs, extracts, essential oils and vegetal oils.
- Extraction by maceration in solvents
- Distillation
- Food supplements elaboration and private labeling.
In 2016, the company bought a new storage building in the neighborhood. Bigger laboratories were constructed as well as new offices and a recreation room.
All the employees meet every morning for 15 minutes and share a cup of tea or coffee.
Nateva is in line with the French labour law and applies the collective convention of the chemical industry. It can also reserves a flexibility in the working hours for the employee private imperatives as long as it is acceptable for the company work.
For the fourth year of FFL certification the company reinforces taking care of the preparation and follow-up of the audits. The environmental impact on wild flora was minimized by a continuous replanting. Tracking of energetic consumption was installed and analysed and considered in the production unit related to projects of reductions. In 2018, lights are going to be substituted by LED lamps.
Nateva helps its producers by providing free seeds to plant. It also offers free distillation access and sometimes advances are made on crops.
The implication of Nateva for the Fair for Life sector in the RDC has not weakened and a new Fair For Life partnership was developed in Uganda. There are regular contacts and promotion. These two projects help the local population to get jobs or cash incomes in disadvantage regions.
Both Fair for life projects help the employees but also the farmers and the local community.
