| Impact, special achievements & commitments | | | Ouro Verde is a 1000ha Property, based in the Ocua district, Cabo Delgado Province - Mozambique. Phase one of the Project was the development of an area to grow organically certified sugar cane and the installation of a factory to process the sugar cane as a Whole Cane Organic Sugar. Phase two of the Project was to develop 80ha of organically certified sugar cane under Pivot Irrigation. This phase has been completed and has been registered as a Co-Op with 109 members from the local communities. This phase has been based on upliftment of members from the community with further benefits ahead with Fair for Life registration and marketing of products with the recognized certifications. Future visions are the development of the Cashew side, with 3000 existing trees being incorporated into the Co-Op. This includes the development of a Cashew Processing Plant. | ||||
