| Impact, special achievements & commitments | | | This is a 4th generation farm and has been farmed as a family business since 1923. The farm is situated approximately 15km outside the town of Clanwilliam in the Western Cape. The farm initially started as a livestock farm and currently produce citrus and organic rooibos tea. The management of Die Keurbos Trust have set themselves the objective of treating their employees and staff in a responsible and fair manner. Die Keurbos Trust has identified the lack of skills and training and the difficult social structure of the community as the most prominent obstacles in furthering and improving the living and social wellbeing of its staff and the community at large. Two out of the nine objectives set by the FFL Committee have been completed. The other objective is to improve the livelihoods of the employees and establish various business opportunities. | ||||
