| Impact, special achievements & commitments | | | The Manorama Group has a history of over 60 years which started off with extracting butter and fats from Sal seed and Mango kernel and gradually forayed into exotic products and specialty fats. Today, the company is seen as global players in food and cosmetic industries. Their responsible Tree Borne Butter program is a journey and, as they learn more about the challenges and complexities, they shall continue to evolve and drive sustainability throughout their supply chain. They are committed to procure raw material directly from tribal people (forest dwellers) and organizations who do not support deforestation, employment of forced labour and child labour and use of fire for land clearance. Their CSR activities range from managing primary schools in remote and rural areas, organizing social welfare campaigns and medical assistance for marginalized communities. | ||||
