Impact, special achievements & commitmentsEN/FR
Argane Aouzac is a fair trade project involving 550 women in 6 villages of the Indouzal montain, aiming to strengthen women's capacity and autonomy around the argan activity. Women are organized in the Tazghlilte Association, partner of Argan Aouzac. The projects are defined in cooperation with the women based on their needs and their priorities. Thus, social and cultural actions could be carried out (schooling, literacy, water supply, weaving centres, improving access to the villages, etc.). In 2018, in particular, the connection of a village with running water via a well and a pipeline network was carried out, allowing to supply more than 70 families with running water. On the environmental level, the establishment of the argan activity in this mountainous area has allowed since 2006 the stop of the Argan tree cutting, and the valorisation of natural local species.
