| Impact, special achievements & commitments | | | RAPUNZEL Naturkost is one of the leading processors and distributors of high–quality organic food products in Germany. The organic raw materials are sourced from approximately 250 suppliers from around the world. The product range comprises more than 550 RAPUNZEL brand name products such as muesli, nut spreads, dried fruits etc. Rapunzel focuses on establishing direct and long-term commercial relationships with its suppliers. The Rapunzel HAND IN HAND fair trade program was established in 1992 as the first fair trade program exclusively certifying organic products. HAND IN HAND suppliers produce raw materials based on the Rapunzel fair trade criteria. The HAND IN HAND program including Rapunzel’s fair trade practices is audited and certified biannually by Ecocert Swiss AG. In addition, Rapunzel sources organic raw materials certified according to other fair trade standards such as Fair for Life. Rapunzel additionally has been working directly with organic farmers in Turkey for several decades, establishing and maintaining long-term direct and fair relationships with farmers and guaranteeing exceptionally high social standards for employees at the processing unit of Rapunzel Organik Tarim. | ||||
