The Benin Fruit and Vegetable Transformation Center (CTFB) is a processing unit located in Allada in the Republic of Benin. it was created in 2006 to dry fresh fruit (pineapple, mango, solo papaya, banana) for export and employs 24 employees. It has buildings for receiving raw materials, processing and racking, drying, conditioning and storage, the activity is daily. the unit has a single drying line. To ensure its activity, the CTFB has organized the producers into a cooperative: the COPROAMA (Cooperative of pineapple and cassava producers) of the ALLADA region with which it has signed a contract and for which it ensures the certification. The drying unit has a capacity of 36 t of dried pineapple per year, the rest of the pineapple will be sold fresh. The production and drying of pineapples is an activity that is developing in Benin, this activity occupies a lot of women and young people, the company has decided to certify its products in fair trade and organic to have a fairer price, this will allow small producers of pineapples united in a cooperative and workers in the drying unit to last in the activity. The objective is to improve practices and to be able to benefit from the advantages of fair trade.

Le Centre de Transformation des Fruits et Légumes du Bénin (CTFB) est une unité de transformation installée à Allada en république du Bénin. il a été créée en 2006 pour sécher les fruits frais (ananas, mangue, papaye solo, banane) pour l'export et utilise 24 employés. Elle dispose de bâtiments de réception de matière première, de traitement et mise en claie, de séchage, de conditionnement et de stockage, l'activité est quotidienne. l'unité dispose d'une seule ligne de séchage. Pour assurer sont activité, le CTFB a organisé les producteurs en coopérative: la COPROAMA ( Coopérative des producteurs d'ananas et de manioc) de la région d'ALLADA avec laquelle il a signé un contrat et dont il assure la certification. L'unité de séchage a une capacité 36 t d'ananas séché par an, le reste de l'ananas sera vendu en frais. La production et le séchage des ananas est une activité qui se développe au Bénin, cet activité occupe beaucoup de femmes et jeunes, l'entreprise a décidé de certifier ses produits en bio équitable pour avoir un prix plus juste, ceci permettra aux petits producteurs d'ananas réunis en coopérative et travailleurs dans l'unité de séchage de durer dans l'activité. L'objectif c'est d'améliorer les pratiques et de pouvoir bénéficier des avantages du commerce équitable.
