1.- GEOGRAPHICAL AND ECONOMIC SITUATION OF THE SALT MARSHES.
Salt marshes of INFOSA are located in Spain, and specifically in Catalonia in the Delta del Ebro area (Tarragona). It is an area whose main business is tourism (not high quality), agriculture (basically rice), fishing and very small service industry. Precisely, it is located in the southern part of Catalonia, at the mouth of the Ebro River.

2.- THE COMPANY INFOSA
Infosa, is a company dedicated to obtaining sea salt, in a totally natural way, by evaporation of seawater.
Infosa is located right at the Punta de la Banya, Biosphere Reserve, Natural Park zone, PEIN zone. There is a large number of protected species (more than 300), the most important being Flamenco and the Seagull Corsa.

Infosa, year after year, is investing part of the profits with the ultimate goal of improving its productivity, quality, food safety, job security, services and a greater variety of products.
With all of this, together with human capital, Infosa has managed to increase its exports to all continents.

3.- FAIR TRADE OBJECTIVES FOR INFOSA
For Infosa, the objectives of Fair Trade are not only based on improving the working conditions of its workers, it also wants to embody ethical values ​​of action and that step by step it would not only be recognized as a leading company in sea salt, but also by its implication at all levels of society.
Also,the objective is to increase its sales of Fair for Life products, and thus better serve the social and economic needs of its local environment.


1.- SITUACION GEOGRAFICA Y ECONOMICA DE LAS SALINAS.
Las Salinas de INFOSA están, situadas en España, y en concreto en Cataluña en la zona del Delta del Ebro (Tarragona). Es una zona cuyo negocio principal es el turismo (de no alta calidad), la agricultura (básicamente el arroz), la pesca y muy pequeña industria de servicios. Justamente, está situado en la zona sur de Cataluña, en la desembocadura del río Ebro.

2.- LA EMPRESA INFOSA
Infosa, es una empresa dedicada a la obtención de sal marina, de una manera totalmente natural, por evaporación del agua del mar.
Infosa está situado justamente en la Punta de la Banya, Reserva de la Biosfera, zona Parque Natural, zona PEIN. Existe en la misma una gran cantidad de especies protegidas (más de 300), siendo las más importantes el Flamenco y la Gaviota Corsa.

Infosa, año tras año, está invirtiendo parte de los beneficios con el objetivo final de mejorar su productividad, calidad, seguridad alimentaria, seguridad laboral, servicio y mayor variedad de productos.
Todo ello, conjuntamente con el capital humano, Infosa ha conseguido incrementar sus exportaciones a todos los continentes.

3.- OBJETIVOS DE COMERCIO JUSTO PARA INFOSA
Para Infosa, los objetivos de Comercio Justo no sólo se basan en ir mejorando las condiciones laborales de sus trabajadores, también quiere arraigar en ellos valores éticos de actuación y que poco a poco no solamente sea reconocida como una empresa puntera en sal marina, sino también por su implicación todos los niveles de la sociedad.
También, para la empresa un objetivo debe de ser el Incrementar sus ventas en productos Fair for Life, y así poder atender mejor a las necesidades sociales y económicas de su entorno local.
