| Impact, special achievements & commitments | | | EN / FR Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV) in France, this family-owned oil mill since 1930 (3rd generation) is run by Eric Vigean, Maître Huilier, specializing in the production of organic virgin oils. It employs 40 people for a turnover of 13.4 million euros. Its oils are mainly sold through a specialized organic network to independent stores and organic supply-chains such as Biocoop but also to exportation (27% of its activity). Fair trade objectives and activities: The company has always been part of a policy of local purchasing practices, regularity, respect and loyalty to its various producers of raw materials and suppliers. The purchasing policy is based primarily on an annual contractualization of its purchases established over several years in respect of the fluctuations of harvests and markets. The prices of disposals of raw materials are thus built in permanent agreement with the producers. A current context favorable to the establishment of fair trade organic oil supply chains: In its market, Huilerie Vigean is considered by its customers as a quality and loyal player developing a range of products highlighting traceable supply-chains and having a history. Some of these same distributors even ask for the certification of certain fair trade oil supply-chains to give more visibility to consumers on the work done. In this context, Huilerie Vigean wishes to engage in the certification of its site and its oils in fair trade. Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV), cette Huilerie familiale depuis 1930 (3ème génération) est dirigée par Eric Vigean, Maître Huilier, spécialisée dans la fabrication d'huiles vierges biologiques. Elle emploie 40 personnes pour un chiffre d'affaires de 13.4 millions d'euros. Ses huiles sont majoritairement vendues en réseau spécialisé bio auprès de magasins indépendants et chaînes Bio tels Biocoop mais aussi à l'export (27% de son activité). Objectifs et activités Equitables : Depuis toujours, l'entreprise s'inscrit dans une politique de pratiques d'achat de proximité, de régularité, de respect et de fidélité avec ses différents producteurs de matières premières et fournisseurs. La politique d'achat est basée en premier lieu sur une contractualisation annuelle de ses achats établie sur plusieurs années dans le respect des aléas liées aux récoltes et aux marchés. Les prix de cessions des matières premières sont donc bâtis en accord permanent avec les producteurs. Un contexte actuel propice à la mise en place de filières d’huiles biologiques équitables : Dans son marché, l’Huilerie Vigean est considérée par ses clients comme un acteur de qualité et loyal développant une gamme de produits mettant en avant des filières tracées et ayant une histoire. Certains de ces mêmes distributeurs vont même jusqu’à demander l'attestation de certaines filières d’huiles en commerce équitable pour donner plus visibilité aux consommateurs sur le travail filière réalisé. Fort de ce contexte, l’Huilerie Vigean souhaite donc s’engager dans l'attestation de son site et de ses huiles en commerce équitable. | ||||
