![]() | Impact, special achievements & commitments | ![]() | ![]() | Fair Farms Co Ltd was incorporated in Cambodia in 2014 with the primary objective to grow Kampot pepper organically, and has been a member of the Kampot Pepper Promotion Association (KPPA) since 2017. Their 11 ha farm in Chhuk (South Cambodia) was one of the first farms in Cambodia to get organic certification for Kampot pepper in 2018. They only use natural fertilizers and natural insect repellants. They also champion the protection of the environment by making the farm a plastic-free zone and by developing soil improvement plans with students in agro-ecology. Their farm was also the first farm in Cambodia to get the “Fair For Life” certification in 2018, which provides assurance that their activity benefits their employees and more broadly the local community through ethical working conditions, gender equality and social inclusion. They provide their employees with a formal employment contract, a decent pay (above the minimum wage salary for the textile industry) and other perks like individual health insurance, lodging and food. | ||||
