| Impact, special achievements & commitments | | | EN/FR For 50 years, Pro Sain has devoted itself passionately to the manufacture of canned organic fruits and vegetables. A pioneer of organic products, Pro Sain is rooted in historic values and convictions: it is committed to organic farming and its vocation is to offer products of irreproachable quality, resulting from an agriculture that respects the environment, women and men. In vision to its quality commitment, Pro Sain selects its fruits and vegetables with care, in France as often as possible. In certain specific cases, Pro Sain has decided to create long-term partnerships with responsible foreign suppliers, respectful of the environment and recognized for the quality of their products. Aware of social and environmental issues in Madagascar, Pro Sain has a privileged partner on the spot, with whom an organic and fair trade approach has been initiated for several years. The partner in Madagascar, specializing in hand-picked vegetables, is strongly involved in the protection of the environment and very ethically engaged with small producers who grow their vegetables on their individual plots in the Hautes-Terres region. Thus, this partnership makes it possible to: • Establish a stable partnership with small producers: support in their development and improvement of their living conditions (income stability, food resources, education and technical training, awareness of environmental issues ...) • Join a daily environmental protection approach, through various means: reduction of CO2 emissions (manual agriculture, maritime transport ...), water resources management, soil protection and fight against erosion (composting, reforestation ...) • Support an on-site sustainable development program through: - a reforestation program around the plots of small producers - the rehabilitation of a primary school Depuis 50 ans, Pro Sain se consacre avec passion à la fabrication de conserves de fruits et légumes bio. Pionnière du bio, Pro Sain est ancrée à des valeurs et des convictions historiques : très attachée à l'agriculture biologique, sa vocation est de proposer des produits d'une qualité irréprochable, issus d'une agriculture qui respecte l'environnement, les femmes et les hommes. Fidèle à son engagement de qualité, Pro Sain sélectionne ses fruits et légumes avec soin, en France aussi souvent que possible. Dans certains cas spécifiques, Pro Sain a décidé de créer des partenariats pérennes avec des fournisseurs étrangers responsables, respectueux de l’environnement et reconnus pour la qualité de leurs produits. Conscient des enjeux sociaux et environnementaux à Madagascar, Pro Sain a un partenaire privilégié sur place, avec lequel une démarche bio et équitable est engagée depuis plusieurs années. Notre partenaire à Madagascar, spécialisé dans les légumes cueillis et rangés à la main, est fortement impliqué dans la protection de l'environnement et très engagé éthiquement auprès de petits producteurs qui cultivent leurs légumes sur leurs parcelles individuelles dans la région des Hautes-Terres. Ainsi, ce partenariat permet notamment de : • Etablir un partenariat stable avec les petits producteurs : accompagnement dans leur développement et amélioration de leurs conditions de vie (stabilité des revenus, ressources alimentaires, éducation et formations techniques, sensibilisation aux enjeux environnementaux ...) • S’inscrire dans une démarche de protection de l’environnement au quotidien, par différents biais : réduction des émissions de CO2 (agriculture manuelle, transport maritime ...), gestion des ressources en eau, protection des sols et lutte contre l’érosion (fabrication de compost, reboisement...) • Soutenir un programme de développement durable sur place, notamment à travers : - un programme de reboisement autour des parcelles des petits producteurs - la réhabilitation d’une école primaire | ||||
