Our commitments

A world where producers and workers who are particularly disadvantaged – whatever the country they work in – are actors in their own development, deciding together on meaningful projects adapted to their local situation. Thanks to long-term partnerships, they benefit from fair remuneration and have a better overview of the opportunities for their future development.

We aspire to a world where business, through ethical, fair and respectful partnerships, is a driving force behind positive and sustainable change for people and their environment.

A world where organisations and companies are committed to establishing respectful relationships, ensuring fair working conditions and respecting the environment throughout their supply chains.
A world where consumers have a clear and transparent level of information, enabling them to make informed purchasing decisions in line with their expectations.

Think Human

  • Respecting human rights and guaranteeing decent working conditions
  • Improving the living conditions of workers and their families
  • Enabling producers and workers to be democratically represented and to benefit from collective bargaining capacity to develop their economic opportunities.

  • Creating long-term collaborations adapted to each context and aimed at local development.

Ecologically responsible

  • Committing to a responsible environmental approach, based on awareness and knowledge of the functioning of the ecosystems involved in our activities.
  • Deploying sustainable agricultural practices that respect biodiversity and the climate.

Our approach

To provide a framework within which each player can commit to making the principle of fairness a reality in its supply chain by :

1
Defining clear requirements applying to each actor in a supply chain in order to characterise fair trade and responsible supply chains
2
Guaranteeing effective control of these requirements, while offering a flexible approach capable of adapting to local contexts, cultures and traditions
3
Ensuring that consumers receive honest, truthful information about these requirements and the efforts being made to implement them

Inclusive governance
Fair for Life encourages the establishment of democratic governance structures in which producers and workers actively represent their interests, participate in the decision-making processes that affect them, and help steer actions in the field.
Producers, grouped together in agricultural collectives, are at the heart of local governance mechanisms, and play an essential role in the design and development of a sustainable and resilient agricultural model.

Committed and demanding agriculture
Fair for Life and For Life promotes rigorously controlled, sustainable farming practices.
The specifications include precise criteria for reasonable farm size, reduced use of chemical inputs and pesticides, promotion of organic farming, and strict limits on authorized additives in production processes.
The aim is to encourage healthier production methods that respect people, soil and ecosystems.
