Its operation started in 1997; the business structure is in partnership with the legal status being Limited Liability Company. This is a house of natural products which has been working with the local community in Uganda to protect and develop the Shea butter industry and bring the medicinal qualities to the world. The products include pure natural certified organic Shea butter, certified organic by Ecocert SA. Guru nanak oil mills (u) ltd. Manufacturers of: first certified Organic shea butter in the world, from Uganda- Vitellaria Nilotica. Organic certified by Ecocert SA, since 2006.
