| Impact, actions & engagements remarquables | | | Ebro India is doing this Organic project with 397 Farmers located at Indo -Pak Border in RS Pura, District -Jammu. Most famers belong to small and marginal farmer category and are spread in fourteen villages. The average land holding of the farmers is less than two hectares. The objective behind this program is to support the small farmers and promote the traditional land race Basmati -370 (Known as Ranbir Basmati). As the project area is close to Indo-Pak border, the families in these villages many times have to go through tough times because of unrest at border area. They selected this area because that is the most fertile land for Basmati -370 and this way they can support local farmers to grow a remunerative crop. They have formed Javik Krishak Samooh (English -Organic Farmer Group) to operate the project and they take care of all the ICS operation and certification. | ||||
