Impact, actions & engagements remarquables | The management of Bo Dam Farm and Dedam Farming have set themselves the objective of treating their employees and staff in a responsible and fair manner. They have identified the lack of skills and training and the fragile social structure of the community as the most prominent obstacles in furthering and improving the living and social wellbeing of our staff and the community at large. The ethos of the company includes paying more than minimum wages and striving to pay a living wage. An investigation will be launched to determine the living wage specific to our worker’s environment and needs. Safe working environment and practises are part of our vision to protect our employees as well as the natural environment They have identified that the lack or limited schooling received by most of our staff is a major obstacle in furthering themselves in their rural communities, unless they move away and seek employment in larger economic centres. Regular training in various skills are planned and will be based on employment related skills development as well as life/social skills development. | |||||||
