| Impact, actions & engagements remarquables | | | POABS Estates is the largest multi-crop Organic Farm with NPOP, EU, USDA, NOP, JAS, Demeter, ISO, HACCP, HALAL ,RA, FFL and FLO Fair Trade certifications in India, growing superior quality organic tea, coffee, pepper and cardamom. POABS provides all the workers with basic amenities like free housing, potable water, electricity, toilets, separate worship places, creche, primary school, play school etc., and adheres to the Plantations Labour Act. School children of workers are taken to the nearby Polachirakal High School by Estate’s School Bus for secondary education at free of cost. Fairtrade fund of the past were utilized for buying school bus, ambulance and mini bus for the workers’ welfare. Free medical care to all the workmen and their families; provisions, milk and vegetables are supplied at subsidized rates; worker club and Playground are available for recreation. In 2019, POABS utilized the Fairtrade fund for distributing household items to all the beneficiary workers as per their decision. | ||||
