Social Impact & Special AchievementsTripper is already working with UD Sancassia since a couple of years. He supplies the good quality of conventional cinnamon to Tripper as well. They consider that good quality of a product always comes from good working conditions, environment, and relationship of all actors. So they always try to keep good quality of cinnamon by improving these three aspects.
1. Working condition: Working condition of cinnamon plantation needs to be improved step by step. For example, the cinnamon transportation from land to warehouse, health and safety, working hours, etc.
2. Environment destruction: They consider on cinnamon harvesting, it means that they reduce the amount of the trees on the land. So, they always try to replant cinnamon as well, by providing seedlings for the local farmers. It will be good for the cinnamon sustainability production and for the environment. To settle up mix cropping system on cinnamon plantation is their main target.
3. Relationship of all actors: The sustainability of cinnamon production is determined by the relationship of all actors. By introducing FFL/FL standard to all actors, they try to settle up/improve a fair relationship.
Use of Fair Trade PremiumThe development Premium will be used to ensure a sustainable cinnamon production in Sumatra. Through the improvement of working conditions but also through the promotion of Cinnamon plantation. To replant what we consume is one of our main target.
