Impact, special achievements & commitmentsARGAMAR is a family business located in Agadir the argan zone created in 2006 specialized in the production, marketing and export of organic argan oil, organic argan oil.
The philosophy of ARGAMAR since its creation is to ensure the customers an impeccable oil quality while sharing the added value generated by the activity of pulping and crushing of rural women.

In 2013, ARGAMAR accomplished the Fair Trade certification process with a long-term contract with its first fair trade partner.
Argamar has five employees and at the crushing and pulping level they work with production groups of 270 women.
The partnership with five crushing and pulping cooperatives has brought several changes:
Signing a multi-year contract with minimum volumes
Increasing volumes each year
A Development Fund that has allowed them to quadruple the company's production capacity.
Women now earn almost 2 times more than when selling their products on the market.
Various actions could be financed:
· Training in literacy,
· Health actions,
· Improving working conditions.
In general, the partnership has enabled women to gain autonomy and financial independence and to develop their entrepreneurial spirit.
In the end they want to increase the number of cooperative partners on the short term

On the long term, they hope to develop other organic and fair trade vegetable oils like prickly pear oil, almond oil to develop more and more income for rural women.
