Impact, special achievements & commitmentsPukka is known for being an ethical company, the company has had externally certified Fairtrade products for several years, engages in public promotion of Fair trade principles and supports the FairWild Fair Trade scheme. Pukka’s sustainability vision is that “Pukka is universally recognised as a pioneer in supporting healthy living of individuals, society and the environment. They have a demonstrable net positive, regenerative impact on people, plants and planet.” So they are going beyond minimizing negative impact towards having a positive impact on the environment. The employment philosophy at Pukka Herbs is to put their employees at the heart of what they do and they look to go beyond the basic Human Rights in their Social Policy. This outlines their approach and states the minimum commitments they do. This is also manifested in their employment contracts. They have a number of People Policies that offers enhanced support to their employees such as their wellbeing, flexible engagement, grievance, and dignity at work policies as well as a health and safety policy. In terms of safety at work Pukka is also working with Proud2BSafe, an organisation working with raising concerns about safety at work.
