Social Impact
Social Impact & Special AchievementsSocial Fund is being saved due to small numbers that can not be perceived directly by the people. Training for the Cikarawang people regarding technology of cassava processing are expected to be an attempt to improve their social status. Improved process of tapioca to increase output from 20 % to 23 %. Community (non project member) at village level knew that PT Tirta Marta with the FFL program is providing new dimension/knowledge on sustainable farming and fair business for smallholders. The premium fund was used to buy chip/cassava snack making machine for women group. Although this machine is not effectively used yet, it has shown however another achievement of the project for non project members.
Use of Fair Trade PremiumSocial funds are saved currently due to small amount, not to be used for a certain activity or program. In 2014 the use of premium fund is to help members of groups in the form of social contribution (illness or death). No realization up till May 2014. Then the plan was changed to support women group on home industry business (chips cassava making), Setia FG bought a chips cassava machine for the women group (15 women as member of this small business group). There is no use of premium fund in 2015.
