Social Impact
Social Impact & Special AchievementsThe company handles its Social Responsibility actions under two approaches, the internal (field workers, plant and administrative and family) and external (neighboring communities, schools, municipal and others).
The most important internal social responsibility actions are:
* Health and prevention programs. There are informative talks related to health in several aspects (depending on the activity that the workers perform), campaigns for detection of breast cancer.
* Commitments: The birthday of permanent employees is celebrated and the congratulations are mentioned in the mural newspaper. Lunches and socializing activities.
* Social projection: Anti-bullying training talks for at the parents between the workers aimed to detect situations related to bullying in their families (victim or aggressor).
At external level:
Health support: By the creation of Wawa Wasi (nursery) destined not only for the children of the workers, but for the community in general, there are 2 units in the nearby areas, currently the support is punctual in function of the most important needs of these centers; HIV and AIDS prevention training, family violence, drug addiction, bully-talking, and recovery of values.
Education support: Together with other agricultural enterprises they created a technical agricultural institute, which to date is administered by the Ministry of Education,they supported with 50 % of the payment for a masters program for teachers of the primary schools nearby, Investing about S / .140,000 in 3 years.
Support for sports: Improvement of sports infrastructure in the community, organization of football championship with children.
