Social Impact & Special AchievementsThe core values of Terra are based on respect of basic rights, providing socially responsive working condition, protecting the environment and applying fair trading practices as briefly given below:
• Basic rights
- Providing a safe and healthy working environment to employees
- No child labour
- Promoting gender equality, respecting women’s rights and acknowledging women’s contribution and equal remuneration with male partners for equal works
• Social responsibility and working conditions
- Fair wages adapted to local labour and market conditions and remuneration of overtime works
- Granting and respecting rest periods to workers during the day and on Sundays
- Regular training of employees in accordance with the specific needs of the company (organic and biodynamic farming, modern farming techniques, first aid, entrepreneurship, Kaisen Management, etc.) and enabling participation in seminars and workshops
- Provide social benefits, including but not limited to, pension scheme, full medical coverage, assistance to worker’s credit association, facilitating and promoting traditional self-help associations and implementation social events
• Environmental aspects
- Providing safe habitat for wild animals and birds within farm premises
- Application of adapted water and energy saving methods and technologies

- Provision of financial data to customer to enable transparent price setting
