Social Impact
Social Impact & Special Achievements1. Interest free loans to farmers and employees. Acess to free financial services to the un bankable community/farmers.
2. Repair of community roads-improvement in rural transport services to the whole community.
3. Contributed support to hunger striken farmers in rakai through provision of food materials, saving life and upholding human life dignity.
4. Support in construction of a house for a widow and orphans, improving on quality of life of disadvantaged community (OVCs)5. Gave planting materials to farmers in Mbarara,Kiboga,Kyazanga and Kabala for apple bananas,pineapples and passion fruits. This was to increase in production,food security and household income.
Use of Fair Trade PremiumApple banana plants to Kiboga/Mbarara farmers, pineapple suckers to Kyazanga farmers and passion fruit seedlings to Kabale farmers; food items to Rakai farmers after hail storm and long drought spell; support for constructing a widow's house; bonus to casual labourers and Xmas bonus to all staff; truck hire and facilitation fee to deliver plants and seedlings to Kiboga/Mbarara/Kyazanga/Kabale. Total amount of fair trade premium fund spent Ugx 39,604,000; balance on Fair Trade Premium account is Ugx 33,317.
