Social Impact & Special AchievementsDr. Bronner’s is the largest US manufacturing company to be committed to fair trade sourcing for all of their major supply chains for their raw materials around the world. They are a leader in the fair trade movement, supporting the development of new projects and small scale producers wherever possible, sponsoring the Fair for Life certification of operations who otherwise might not be able to participate in the movement but whose practices and products are in alignment with the standard. In 2016 Dr. Bronner’s contributed over $ 8 million to various social causes including wage equality and fair trade. In 2015 they became B Corp certified, in 2016 they received Best for the World award, placing them in the top 10 % of all B Corp Certified companies around the world. In 2014 they published their first-ever public facing social responsibility report, and through the data analysis learned that of all of the raw materials in their products that could be certified fair trade, 98 % of what they purchased was.
