Certification for fair trade and responsible supply chains
Impact, special achievements & commitmentsThey are actively promoting and adding more Fair Trade products to their assortment. This has lead, for example, to expanding the tea tree project in Kenya and recruiting of more farmers. All sales of Fair Trade products that they achieve have a direct impact in the communities by means of the Fair Trade premium, payment of Fair prices for the producer, and better wages and working conditions for the workers. This ensures decent living conditions and social development in the communities. There are many examples of this and how the life of a farmer or of a worker has improved through Fair Trade, which they try to assess during their visits and share with their clients. A summary of this can be seen on the video of their project on their website: http://www.earthoil.com/news/video/earthoil-tea-tree-in-kenya
Use of Fair Trade Premium Fair Trade Premium has been used for: Deep wells, houses for poor people, medical camps, permanent vermicompost shed.
