Social Impact & Special AchievementsThe institute Floravida is a civil organization without economic object, it is managed privately and has a socio-environmental character which has the mission to contribute to the socio-environmental transformation of the communities integrated in their initiatives, promoting education and protection of life.As they belong to Centroflora, the institute gets 30 % of all their resources from the company, and socio-environmental responsibility in the community and the mechanism of distributing the benefits to programs which obtain a chain of supply is their main aim.Every one of their programs achieves yearly a lot of results. In 2014 and 2015, 17.371 and 17.463 people benefitted from the activities of Floravida in six Brazilian states.Furthermore to the activities of the institute Foravida, the group Centroflora has as a value the socio-environmental responsibility and the promotion of the producing chain, mainly through the program “Parcerias para um Mundo Melhor” (partnership for a better world), founded in 2003 with the object to integrate the chain links in socio-productive models based on principles of sustainability and ethical use of biodiversity.
